Who we are
Who we were
C.A.P.E. SOC.COOP. (Wine products road haulage cooperative) was born in 1983 thanks to ten road haulage contractors from Faenza who originally made exclusively wine transport for the cooperative wine growers' associations, and specially for Caviro S.c.r.l. distillery in Faenza (RA). The following years, with the market evolution, CAPE cooperative has diversified the type of transported products: alcohol, puree, oils and fats.
Who we are
The cooperative owns about fifty of the most advanced tank trucks (articulated trucks and road trains) and a fleet of vehicles for special services like alcohol transport for small deliveries as well, waste transport. Even though the cooperative has always been characterized by the transport of wine products and liquids both in national and sometimes international road haulage, today it has diversified the typology of products: puree, fats, oils, milk and dairy products, chocolate, thanks to thermo tank trucks. An important service is that of road trains supplied with wine pumps fit for loading and unloading operations. In the last years, another significant activity that has been developed concerns the naval transshipment of products like oils, fats and wine. Furthermore, C.A.P.E. SOC.COOP. has also been busy in areas damaged by natural emergencies like floods, (see article on Piemonte emergency October 2000 - article1 / article2), drought, for multiservice companies like SEABO in Bologna (now HERA S.p.a.), META in Modena etc. As you can see, as the years have gone by, the cooperative has increased the typology of transported products and, at the same time, it has also improved the volume of goods handling. The turnover in fact, has had a strong increase in the last years (see graphic) thanks to the quality of our service and to the optimization in the managing of the motor vehicles.
